Christy Barnett won the USRA B-Mod main event.

The Vado Speedway Park in Vado, N.M., was back in action for the track’s traditional Memorial Day Weekend Doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday, May 28-29, with the USRA B-Mods in action both nights.

The USRA B-Mod main event was the fourth on the schedule Saturday with 13th starting Christy Barnett charging from her seventh row starting spot to claim the victory over rookie racer Peyton Gallardo, who raced to a career best runner-up finish.

Justin Allen worked from his 15th starting spot up to finish third at the line with Hector Barraza and John Carney rounding out the top five.

The Vado Speedway Park will be back in action Sunday with the finale of the Memorial Day Weekend Doubleheader.

For fans not able to attend in person, all events held during the 2022 season at the Vado Speedway Park will also be streamed live at WatchFYE.tv.
