Stock Car Double Down Showdown, Salute the Troops this Saturday at Hamilton County Speedway


This Saturday, May 14, the Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa, presents the Double Down Showdown for Medieval USRA Stock Cars.

Also in action will be the USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Tuners.

Saturday’s blockbuster show will also be a special “Salute the Troops” program with free grandstand admission for all active and retired military members.

Fans will see double features in the USRA Stock Cars with drivers battling for $500 to win each feature, plus they’ll earn valuable national, regional and track points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series for each.

Pits open at 4 p.m. and grandstands open at 5 with hot laps at 7 and racing to follow this Saturday night at the historic half-mile dirt oval in Webster City, Iowa.

Opening in July 1910, the Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway is the oldest speedway in the state of Iowa. In 1938, work began on the current location at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. The semi-banked half-mile dirt track was completed in the spring of 1939, and the first races were held on the track in September of that year.

The Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway is located off US 20 at exit 140, then 1.2 miles north, then 0.5 mile east on Bank St., then 0.4 mile south on Bluff St. to the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Webster City, Iowa. The physical address is 1200 Bluff St, Webster City, IA 50595.
