Scott has not exactly had a Cinderella season. Works hard, can't always race, always in the thick of it, but always a little short.

Until the day before his 42nd birthday, when "Fast Orange" opened up a family-sized can on the USRA Modified field at Humboldt Speedway Friday night.

Even in the heat race, you could sense that Daniels had the mojo tonight. And in the feature it was the #9d that vaulted to the front and drove like he was on rails, while all hell broke loose behind.

With Daniels firmly in control at the checkers, Justin "Whitey" Folk clawed his way from 10th to second.

Jess Folk Jr. was third while Dennis Bishop, who got clobbered in a wreck last week, re-organized and came back for fourth.

Rodney Sigg fought his way to fifth.
