USRA racers ready to bear ARMS at The Rev
It’s time to bear ARMS on the bayou.🦞 🐊 🏁
Despite Friday’s rained-out event at the Ark-La-Tex Speedway, officials at The Rev never flinched. Instead of taking the easy road and pulling the plug on Saturday’s sceond half of the weekend doubleheader, they instead stepped up to the plate and hit one out of the park.
After suffering three rain-outs since the debut of the USRA American Racer Modified Series on March 13 at the Monarch Motor Speedway, fans and racers are ready for some suffocating speed and serious slide-jobs as the freshman season for the USRA Modified touring outlaws marches on this Saturday, May 22, for one big day and night at one of America’s marquee rising stars of dirt track racing.
Currently, this Saturday’s event at Revolution Park—better known as The Rev—will pay $3,200 to the winner of the main event at the state-of-the-art venue in Monroe, Louisiana. The runner-up paycheck has grown to $1,600 and third now pays $1,100 with the fourth-place finisher pocketing $900. No less than $300 to start the USRA Modified feature race.
💰 RacinDirt.com, Star 1 Roofing & Construction and Joel’s Auto Sales added more than $1,000 to the pool to bring the the winner’s share to $3,200. RacinDirt.com also added $100 to the second-, third- and fourth-place finishers.
💰 Cade Dillard Racing (CDR) and S&S Fishing & Rental are providing a $300 bonus to the highest finishing CDR consulting driver.
💰 The RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas, and Joel’s Auto Sales have teamed up to pay a $200 Hard Charger Award. RPM Speedway is also giving a $100 bonus to the highest-finishing driver in RPM Speedway points.
💰 Officials will draw three random drivers’ names that will win a $100 cash bonus. To win this award you must have competed in the previous ARMS event on March 13.
Come join us from 1 to 5 p.m. for Crawfish at The Rev featuring live music, kids jumpers, face painting, crawfish, cold beer and a crawfish eating contest. Don't miss out. Make it an all-day affair with the entire family.
This thing is shaping up to be incredible and the weather looks great! 🔥
This is a grassroots effort for a grassroots series. Let’s gooooooo! 🏁
The pits will open at 2 p.m. this Saturday and the grandstands open at 5. Driver draw cutoff time is 5:45 and hot laps begin at 6 with racing to follow.
Tickets are just $15 for big kids and $5 for little kids ages 10 and under. Pit passes are $35 or $10 for everybody 10 and under.
In addition to the USRA Modifieds, this inaugural bayou blockbuster will feature Crate Late Models, Limited Mods, Factory Stocks and Compact/FWD divisions. USRA Modifieds will be competing for Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points.
If you can’t be there in person, you don’t have to miss a single lap. Catch the action live at RacinDirt.com.
Two provisional starting spots will be awarded at each event to the two drivers ranked highest in ARMS points that did not qualify for the main event. Each ARMS competitor is eligible for two (2) provisionals during the 2021 season. Dozens of contingency awards will also be doled out during race nights and at season’s end.
There is a $100 entry fee for USRA Modifieds. USRA competitors are encouraged to purchase a USRA license ahead of time at usraracing.com/register. Temp licenses will be available at the track for $10.
About Revolution Park
After bringing in 300 truckloads carrying 1,500 tons of dirt in just four days nearly a year ago, The Rev (Revolution Park) presented by Dylan Scott was given new life as a state-of-the-art dirt track after struggling to find success as an asphalt racetrack since its construction in 2008.
Thirty-year-old country music sensation-turned-racetrack-promoter Dylan Scott operates the 3/8-mile oval from near his hometown of Bastrop, Louisiana, along with a top-shelf crew of mangers and officials.
The Rev is a 3/8-mile semi-banked dirt oval located off I-20 east to exit 120, then 0.6 mile south on Garrett Rd., then 2.4 miles east to Frontage Rd., then east. The physical address is 8850 Frontage Rd, Monroe, LA 71202. For more information call (381) 245-7665 or visit TheRevDirt.com and Facebook.com/DirtonTheRev.
About the USRA American Racer Modified Series
Combining their efforts to keep true outlaw-style dirt modified racing alive and well in the South Central United States, several of the top dirt ovals in the region will be hosting the newly-formed USRA American Racer Modified Series presented by Day Motor Sports during the 2021 racing season.
Each of the venues will host one or more USRA Modified events paying $2,000 to win or more and at least $200 to start the feature race. At season’s end, the points champion will pocket at least $4,000 of the nearly $20,000 points fund.
USRA Modified racers will be able to compete for several individual points funds. In addition to the new USRA American Racer Modified Series, drivers will earn national and regional points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series. Sanctioned racetracks will also have their 2021 track points funds.
The minimum payout at each event is as follows: 1. $2000, 2. $1500, 3. $1000, 4. $800, 5. $700, 6. $600, 7. $500, 8. $450, 9. $400, 10. $350, 11. $300, 12. $275, 13. $250, 14. $240, 15. $230, 16. $225, 17. $220, 18. $215, 19. $210, 20. $205, all other starters $200, non-qualifiers $90.
