I-35 Speedway adopts MyRacePass, Westhold transponders
MyRacePass and Westhold transponders are coming to the I-35 Speedway in 2020.
I-35 Speedway fans have watched each year as owners Mike and Kyle Johnson continually improve the racing experience for the fans, drivers, crews and staff. The Trackside Bar & Grill, new bleachers, lighted highway sign, expanded pits, American flags, new billboards, pit windows and funnel cakes are just some of the improvements added the last several years.
In 2020, MyRacePass and Westhold transponders will add to the racing experience. Technology has been constantly changing in our lives and in motorsports. With MyRacePass, drivers and fans will be able to access lineups, results, points and information on their smartphones.
Drivers will be able to maximize their marketing portfolios and fans can be checking on a driver bio while trying to learn more about the driver, all in the palm of their hand.
With the Westhold transponder scoring system, fans and drivers will receive live lap-by-lap timing, instant results and instant lineups after yellow flags. Those always-tight side-by-side battles coming to the checkered flag will be determined by the transponders on the cars crossing the scoring and timing loop.
Transponders and pouches will be sold or rented at the track. Opening night, March 28, is just a little over a month away so make your plans to be there.
The I-35 Speedway is a high-banked 3/8-mile dirt oval located just east of the interstate at exit 64. For more information, call (660) 749-5317 or point your browser to i-35speedway.net.
