81 Spedway wins to Phillips, Sheets

PARK CITY, Kan. (June 7, 2025)—Saturday night’s Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series at 81 Speedway delivered high-octane action as drivers battled for top honors in the USRA Modifieds and USRA B-Mods divisions. The event showcased intense competition, with Paden Phillips and Jon Sheets emerging victorious in their respective feature races.
Phillips, of Chanute, dominated the USRA Modified feature, starting third and leading the field to the checkered flag. Phillips held off a strong challenge from Wichita’s Wyatt Gaggero, who finished second after starting sixth.
Chevy Coleman, also of Wichita, secured third, followed by Tyler Davis of Haysville in fourth after a remarkable charge from 14th. Edward Leecy of Derby rounded out the top five.
In the USRA B-Mod feature, Jon Sheets of Nevada, Mo., claimed the victory, starting second and outpacing K.C. Mullin of Manhattan, who finished second after starting fourth. Ryan Smith of Moran took third, followed by Chad Reid of Yukon, Okla., in fourth, who advanced from 10th. Wichita’s Josh Lanterman completed the top five, starting sixth.
