Three USRA divisions headline Saturday night action at I-35 Speedway again in 2024
This racing season is shaping up to be one of the best at the I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo., as evidenced by the release of the track's 2024 shceudle of events.
At the heart of the campaign will once again be the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods ripping around the fast 3/8-mile clay oval.
Two Heartland Modified Tour races for USRA Modifieds are also on the schedule.
It all gets started with three Saturday practices starting in March. So, racers get those racecars ready, fans get those hands ready for applause and Mother Nature get us some good weather because racing season is just around the corner.
Everyone get your calendars out and add the dates. Look at the schedule and get ready to be a part of the legendary I-35 Speedway.
The memorial races continue in 2024. The track has been blessed with great talent and great supporters of racing for many years and we will always remember those who preceded us in this sport and left their mark.
These races include the Cletus “Mudcat” Murray Memorial, The "Finish Strong" Mike Tanner Memorial, Racin’ For Rian, Kaster Celebration, Bud Wilson Memoril and the Mike Knight Memorial.
Additionally, those programs near and dear to our hearts continue with Suicide Awareness and the Be Aware Cancer Rally. Other special events will feature Winged and Non-Wing Sprint Cars while the weekly shows also feature E-Mods, Pure Stocks, Sport Compacts, Junior Sport Compacts and Late Models.
USRA Awards Banquet set for Jan. 27: The USRA and USMTS will host a joint awards banquet on Saturday, Jan. 27, inside the 9,792-square-foot Nevada Ballroom at the Harrah's Kansas City Hotel & Casino to celebrate the 2023 racing season for both organizations.
Tickets include a luxurious dinner featuring a plentiful selection of fine food and a succulent dessert bar. A cash bar will also be available. The cost is $65 per person and can be purchased by calling (515) 832-6000 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tickets sales are available through Friday, Dec. 22, at 12 noon, and then resume on Wednesday, Jan. 3, after the holiday break. The deadline to purchase tickets to the awards banquet is Friday, Jan. 12, at 4 p.m.
