The 2024 Longdale Speedway schedule of events has been announced with nine nights of action set to take place at the Western Oklahoma oval.

A mixture of Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series classes including USRA Modifieds and USRA Limited Mods are highlighted for the upcoming season, plus action in the Sprint Cars, Late Models, Factory Stocks, Tuners and more.

Longdale Speedway is slated to host events on the third Saturday of the month starting in April and running until October with a few Friday nights sprinkled in.

Terry Mattox will once again lease and promote the facility. Dylan Postier will serve as the General Manager overseeing nightly events.

Things will kick off at the 3/8-mile oval on Saturday, April 20. Walleye Rodeo Roundup will take place May 17-18, and Saturday, June 15, will feature the Summer Sizzler.

The Labor Day Classic will be a single-day event on Saturday, Aug. 31, and the Winter Nationals will continue as a two-day event Oct. 18-19.

Pits open at 5 p.m. and grandstands open at 6 each night. Friday night events will start at 8 with hot laps at 7:30 while Saturday shows will start at 7:30 with hot laps at 7.

Longdale Speedway is a semi-banked 3/8-mile clay oval located one half-mile south of Longdale to 4959 OK-58, Longdale, OK 73755. The track features an 80-foot-wide racing surface, a concrete wall perimeter, full catch fence, television quality Musco Lighting, electronic scoring and a ten-position score board.

The pit area is located outside of the backstretch and features concessions and a full parts store including fuel and tires. Mounting and grooving services are also available. The pit viewing area is as good as they get, providing a great up-close view of all the action.

The fan side of things features a comfortable 2,000-seat aluminum grandstand, some with backs and for the seats without backs rental cushioned stadium seats are available. A souvenir stand with a large inventory of fan favorite items is available with lots of apparel options. The gravel track parking lot is large and can be utilized for free dry camping.

USRA Awards Banquet set for Jan. 27: The United States Racing Association (USRA) and United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) will host a joint awards banquet on Saturday, Jan. 27, inside the 9,792-square-foot Nevada Ballroom at the Harrah's Kansas City Hotel & Casino to celebrate the 2023 racing season for both organizations.

Tickets include a luxurious dinner featuring a plentiful selection of fine food and a succulent dessert bar. A cash bar will also be available. The cost is $65 per person and can be purchased by calling (515) 832-6000 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tickets sales are available through Friday, Dec. 22, at 12 noon, and then resume on Wednesday, Jan. 3, after the holiday break. The deadline to purchase tickets to the awards banquet is Friday, Jan. 12, at 4 p.m.
