There are eight divisions sanctioned for competition in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series including USRA Modifieds, Medieval USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks, USRA Late Models, USRA Limited Mods, Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks and USRA Tuners.

Except during the Summit USRA Nationals, Sept. 17-21, points are awarded at USRA-sanctioned events beginning March 1 through Sept. 30 for drivers in the Modified, Stock Car, B-Mod, Hobby Stock, Late Model and Tuner classes. Except during the USRA Southern Nationals (dates TBA), points are awarded at USRA-sanctioned events beginning March 1 through Oct. 22, for drivers in the Limited Mod and Factory Stock classes.

Registration is open for racers planning to compete in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series during the 2024 calendar year. The first 300 drivers to purchase a USRA license will receive a gift card valued at $50 from Summit Racing Equipment.

All drivers competing in a USRA-sanctioned event must possess a valid USRA license. The purchase of a USRA Competitor License provides supplement insurance coverage above covered medical expenses. The cost of a USRA Competitor License for the 2024 calendar year is $130 for Modifieds; $110 for Stock Cars and Late Models; $100 for B-Mods, Hobby Stocks, Limited Mods and Factory Stocks; or $60 for Tuners.

All licenses fees will increase by $20 beginning March 3, 2024. Purchase directly from the USRA by calling (515) 832-6000 or online at usraracing.com/register. Competitors may also download the application at usraracing.com/downloads, and then print and mail or fax your completed form with a check or credit card information. A service fee of $5 applies to all credit card transactions. There are no refunds for any license purchase.

Alternatively, drivers may purchase a USRA Temporary License for $10 which is valid for one (1) event only. Drivers opting to purchase a temp license will earn the same points as those with a USRA Competitor License. The purchase of a temp license does not apply toward the cost of a USRA Competitor License if one is purchased later.

USRA Competitor Licenses must be purchased directly from the USRA while temp licenses must be purchased from the racetrack. Racetracks do not sell USRA Competitor Licenses and the USRA does not sell temp licenses.
