The 25th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree kicked off the first of three nights of racing on Thursday at Deer Creek Speedway.

The Kid’s Dreams Come True USRA B-Mods joined the USMTS Modifieds, and a huge field of 76 USRA B-Mod cars and drivers from four states turned out for night number one.

They ran seven heat races with the top 40 in passing points locked into one of two $500-to-win A-Mains. Two B-Mains took the top four to make up the 24-car feature fields.

In the first feature, defending USRA B-Mod national champion Joe Chisholm took the lead from row one with Trevor Fecht on the chase. Deer Creek Speedway track champion Hunter Kennedy was right with the lead duo.

Fecht, from Allison, Iowa, stole the lead on lap two while Chisholm and Kennedy raced for second. Kris Jackson—the 2018 and 2019 national champ—was on the fly and was up to fourth on lap five. Jackson then passed Kennedy for third on lap six.

Fecht still led, but Chisholm was within striking distance. Jackson caught Chisholm and the race was on for second. Jackson moved by on lap 12 and then set after Fecht.

When the white flag flew, Fecht still led but Jackson challenged him down the backstretch. Jackson slid to the inside and got close to Fecht in turn four.

Fecht beat Jackson to the line in the caution-free race for the win with Chisholm in third. Kennedy finished in the fourth position and Ben Moudry rounded out the top five.

The second 20-lap feature was led by Winona's Zach Brom, who started on the pole. Harley Dais was close with Gavin Shaw in the mix.

Brandon Hare and Jett Sorensen also entered the picture and had a good race with Shaw for third.

Brom continued to lead through some caution flags and Dais dropped out of contention. Dustin Kruse, who started ninth, and Jackson Mulder, who started 12th, moved towards the front.

A late caution on lap 18 set up a two-lap dash to the finish. Brom held on for the win with Shaw in second.

Kruse finished a strong third and Mulder’s run ended up in fourth. Hare finished out the top five.

Featherlite Trailers located in Cresco, Iowa, is the title sponsor of the Fall Jamboree. The event is also presented with support from Olympic Fire Protection, Orchard Creek Transportation, Kevko Oil Pans & Racing Componets, Scott Brown along with K2 Ag and Legacy Seed.

Action contnues on Friday and Saturday with a $5,000-to-win feature on Friday and $12,000 to Saturday’s winner of the 30-car USMTS
main event that will start three-wide.

USRA B-Mods will be back for two more nights too, with twin features paying $500 to win each on Friday while Saturday’s finale will dole out $1,500 to the winner.

Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points are up for grabs both nights.

Check out the FAST FACTS for everything you need to know about the 25th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree.
