$10,000 to win Stock Car Shootout Aug. 1-2 in Mason City
Medieval USRA Stock Car drivers are gearing up for one of the biggest paying races of 2023 for the full-fendered class on Tuesday and Wednesday August 1-2, at the Pritchard Family Auto Stores Mason City Motor Speedway.
With $7,500 to win guaranteed and $675 just to take the green flag in the 50-lap main event, racers can enter the Big Fish for just $50 and be racing for $10,000 to win instead.
On Tuesday, each driver will battle in two heat races with the top ten in passing points locked in to that Wednesday night’s finale.
Drivers sitting 11-30 in passing points will run a preliminary feature with the top two also locked into the main event on Wednesday.
Those 12 drivers will compete in a dash on Wednesday to determine the A-Main lineup.

Early entry is $210 (includes $10 service fee). Drivers can register online or call (515) 832-6000. The entry fee increases to $250 at the gate on race day. Save some money and enter before midnight Saturday. If the event is rained out or canceled for any other reason, a full refund will be issued.
Think you can rule the pond? Sign up for the Big Fish Challenge for the chance to race for $10,000 to win. The cost is just $50 (cash or check) and if you win Wednesday’s A-Main the top prize is $10,000. Drivers wanting to enter the Big Fish Challenge must do so prior to the first green flag.
All drivers draw Wednesday for heat race lineups prior to the drivers meeting. Qualifying will be done through mixed double heat races with passing points and consolation events prior to Thursday’s A-Main. RACEceivers and AMB transponders are mandatory and available at sign-in. Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points awarded both nights. USRA Stock Car rules apply, except where noted. I-Stocks may use their tires for this event with an enforced frame height rule of 10 inches and may utilize a four-barrel carburetor if using a 360 c.i. engine.
