Fan Appreciation Night this Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway

Lucas Oil Speedway's annual Fan Appreciation Night is set for this week when Round 13 of the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series caps a busy Saturday.

After drag boat racing earlier in the day next door for the KDBA Show-Me Shootout on Lake Lucas, fans attending the dirt track action will have food and drink specials all evening. Those include $1 nachos & cheese, $2 hot dogs and $2 soft drinks or water.

The Cedar Creek Beef Jerky USRA Modifieds will be the featured division as the weekly series enters the home stretch of the schedule, with a 25-lap, $1,000-to-win main event. Meanwhle, the Show Me Vintage Racing Club Cars will be on hand as our guest class and will be displaying their cars on the midway prior to the event.

Also during intermission, Kids' Power Wheel races will be held. The kids can enter their own battery-powered Power Wheel cars by signing up for the Frogs Jr. Fan Club on the south end of the Midway prior to the races. One Kids Power Wheel class will be the 6-12 volt cars and another will be for the 24-36 volt class. No power or speed enhancement modifications will be allowed.

"This is a way to show our fans how much we appreciate their loyalty and dedication," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said of the concession specials. "It should be a fun night with the Show-Me Vintage Racers on hand, plus the Kids' Power Wheels during intermission."

The championship chases in the four divisions find Ryan Middaugh of Fulton with the biggest lead as he is 181 points in front of Jaosn Pursley in the USRA Modifieds. Meanwhile, Bobby Williams of Hermitage has a 52-point cushion over JC Morton in the Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods, Mason Beck of Urbana leads William Garner by 77 in the O'Reilly Auto Parts USRA Stock Cars and Aurora's Justin Wells is up by 91.5 over Bryon Allison in the Hermitage Lumber Late Models.
