American Racer USRA Modified Series set to tackle Salina
The American Racer USRA Modified Series powered by Day Motor Sports returns to action on Saturday, July 22, when the series makes its first voyage to the Salina Highbanks Speedway in Pryor Lake, Okla.
Presented by Ninety One Syndicate, the event will be the first for the USRA Modifieds of the ARMS at the popular dirt oval.
With nine shows in the books and eight remaining, drivers will earn valuable Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points in addition to ARMS points, and the winner will earn a $2,000 paycheck.
‘Big Daddy’ Joe Duvall of Claremore, Okla., leads the series points by 30 markers over Sean Gaddis and an additional 22 points ahead of his father and veteran racer Kenny Gaddis. Chris Dawson and Kale Westover round out the top five in the rankings.
The pits will open at 3 p.m. and grandstand gates swing open at 5. Hot laps begin at 6:30 and racing gets underway at 7.

Each of the venues will host one or more events with a minimum of $2,000 to win, an unmatched year-end points fund as well as Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points.
With a schedule currently featuring 18 nights of racing at the finest dirt ovals in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas, the 2023 campaign is nearing the halfway point. Each racer's best 16 performances are factored in for series points.

Now more than a quarter-century old, the Salina Highbanks Speedway, new owners and management reopened in 2011 after thousands of hours and dollars, dozens of renovations and upgrades gave the dirt track new life.
The Salina Highbanks Speedway has over 5,000 general admission seats, 100 balcony bar seats and 200 VIP seats that are located in the five-star Finish Line Restaurant which gives fans access to the comfort of indoor climate, a full service bar and grill and great views of beautiful Lake Hudson while enjoying the racing action.
