Phillips, Bolin, Wilson collect Humboldt checkers

Paden Phillips won the USRA Modified main event.

Paden Phillips won the USRA Modified main event.

The night started off with a bang Friday at the Humboldt Speedway as the USRA B-Mods had two heat races and we saw Brian Bolin pick up the win in the first heat race and Henry Chambers pick up a win in heat race number 2.

Then in the feature we saw Bolin, who started sixth, drive himself to the front to pick up the win.

The rest of the field looked like Dustin Daniels as he took second while third went to Tyler Kidwell and fourth to Chambers. Mike Striegel completed the top five.

The USRA Tuners had one heat race with Clint Haigler picking up the win. In the feature, Trenton Wilson picked up the win.

It was a good race, and after a caution we saw Haigler give up the lead to Wilson where he stayed in front and got his second win of the season.

Third place went to Curtis Wilson Sr. and fourth went to Travis Bockover. Fifth was Larry Trester.

The ARMI Contracting USRA Modifieds saw Andy Bryant and Tad Davis getting the heat race wins. The feature had some good racing action but the driver who looked super-fast again was Paden Phillips, who started on the outside of the front row, got out to the lead and never looked back.

The second-place car was Davis and third went to Tyler Davis. Fourth was points leader T.J. Tolan and fifth went to Lewis Jackson.

Next weekend we will have some great racing action as the Sooner Late Model Series will hit Humboldt Speedway and also racing in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series for the Ray's Metal Depot USRA B-Mods and USRA Tuners, with Extrusion Inc. Midwest Mods and Home Savings Back Factory Stocks also racing.
