Ark-La-Tex Speedway dangles $10,000 payday for Doug Murphrey Memorial winner(s)


The best dirt drivers between the borders will be at the Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La., this Friday and Saturday, June 2-3, for the 17th annual Doug Murphrey Memorial presented by RacinDirt.TV.

Featuring the American Racer USRA Modified Series powered by Day Motor Sports, the prestigious event pays $5,000 to win and $250 to start the main event each night, plus $100 to non-qualifiers both nights.

Joining the high-powered USRA Modifieds each night at the ‘Land of Three Wide’ will be USRA Limited Mods, Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks and USRA Tuners, along with Crate Racin’ USA Street Stocks and Pro-Mods.

On Friday, the pits open at 4 p.m., grandstands open at 5 and racing gets underway at 7:30. On Saturday, pits open at 3 p.m., grandstands open at 4 and the green flag waves at 7.

Presented by Genuine RV, the track will host an open practice on Thursday, June 1, with pits opening at 5 p.m. and practice from 7-10.

Each of the venues will host one or more events with a minimum of $2,000 to win, an unmatched year-end points fund as well as Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points. Each racer's best 16 performances will count for series points.
