Karl Brewer won the USRA B-Mod main event.

Karl Brewer and Joel Norris opened the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series season at I-90 Speedway with victories Saturday night. It was their first ever wins at the Hartford, S.D., track.

Brewer charged through the field in the USRA B-Mod feature, taking the lead on lap 8 from his 12th starting spot.

Derek Van Veldhuizen was out front the opening seven laps and took second with Dustin Kruse in third.

Fourth-place-finishing Dave Kennedy started last in the "B" Main, won that, and then raced from row 9 to fourth ahead of Lyndon Johnson.

Norris started the season by doing something he had never done at I-90 Speedway:  He took the win in the USRA Hobby Stock feature.

Travis VanDen Top was second with Tracy Halouska third.

Landon Krohn and Chad Dubac rounded out the top five.
