Atkinson notches Sunoco USRA Factory Stock win at 67 Speedway

Keaton Atkinson notched the feature wins in the Sunoco USRA Factory Stock division as Tim Crawley and staff presented a full card of racing on Friday night at 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Ark.

Atkinson, of Hot Springs, notched his first win on the night with a dominant performance in the 20-lap tilt. The local favorite managed to fend off a hard-charging Justin Whitehead for top honors while Chase Hatton of De Berry, Texas, filled out the podium.

Jeff Hammitt of Edgewood, Texas, and Logan Johnson of Mabelvale rounded out the top five.

Finishing sixth through tenth were defending Sunoco USRA Factory Stock National Champion Neil Kemp, Justin Kilcrease, 17th-starting Cole Ogden, 16th-starting Jay Watson and Tony Fatheree.

The debut for new promoter and retired racer Tim Crawley and his staff drew a solid 79 entries, including a solid field of 30 Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks.

Competition was close throughout the evening while Crawley and staff knocked out the program without any major incidents. The retired racer is passionate about keeping dirt track racing alive in Arkansas, and it shows.
