Denby, Parker secure Sabine Speedway victories

Friday’s action at Sabine Speedway did not disappoint as a pair of summit USRA Weekly Racing Series classes did battle around the race track.

The BOM Bank USRA Limited Modifieds took to the stage for their main event which saw Lone Star State driver Tracy Denby Jr. of Vidor, Texas, dominate the 24-car field.

Defending Bayou Dirt Life Louisiana State Limited Modified Champion Conner Williams of Sibley finished as the runner-up ahead of Mickey Steele of Ball.

Ethan Bailes of Elizabeth completed the race in fourth and Trevor Strother of Oakdale rallied to a top five.

Finally, the Sideline Sports & Screening Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks ran their feature. With 37 entries checked in to compete, the field dwindled down to 20 of the best drivers in the area.

It was John Parker Jr. of Colfax that emerged triumphant in the 15-lap affair, fending off charges from eventual runner-up Ross Cook of Florien and C.J. Howell of Bentley.

Jason Ford of Many and Matthew Driskill of Ruston finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Sabine Speedway will be back in action next Friday, April 21.
