Deer Ceek Speedway will once again try to make an effort to get the 2007 racing season underway next week. Practice is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, and racing action will commence on Saturday, April 21.

First it was the rain. Then it was freezing temperatures. Hopefully the third time will be a charm for the Lebanon I-44 Speedway's 2007 season opener, set to run this Saturday, April 14, with races starting at 7:30 p.m.

The 2007 edition of the National Speedway Directory is now available. The popular 608-page book lists updated information on the active tracks in the United States and Canada, giving detailed information like names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, exact directions, size and surfaces of each facility, nights of operation and classes of vehicles.

Due to the expected below freezing temperatures now through Saturday night, track owner Randy Mooneyham has decided to postpone the season opener at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway once again.

Deer Creek Speedway has announced the changing of the practice and opener. Practice will now be held from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, with racing to commence on Saturday, April 14.

The rain soaked the high banks of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway prior to last Saturday’s scheduled opener, so track owner Randy Mooneyham postponed his season opener until this Saturday, April 7. With the added week of anticipation, on top of the whole off-season, the drivers and fans alike will be eager to get back to the Lebanon I-44 Speedway.

Due to the difficult weather conditions officials from Deer Creek Speedway announce a schedule change for the opening weekend of the Southern Minnesota speedplant. Practice will now be held on Saturday, April 7, from 1-5 p.m. The new opener will be held on Saturday, April 14, with racing action starting at 5 p.m.

Officials from RL Promotions have announced that the previously scheduled April 6-7 season openers have been postponed. The season opener at the Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway will now be Friday, April 13, and the season opener at the Pepsi Scotland County Speedway will now be Saturday, April 14.

United States Racing Association officials have announced that the previously scheduled season opener for the newly-created USRA Late Models has been changed. Originally slated for April 20 at the Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway, the $3,000-to-win inaugural event for the USRA Late Models will now be hosted at the Pepsi Scotland County Speedway on Saturday, April 28.
