Due to the absense of a demo derby at this year's Allen County Fair, Humboldt Speedway offered up a rare "two-fer" with back-to-back race nights on Friday and Saturday.

The action will turn up another notch Saturday night, Aug. 6, at the Springfield Raceway as a host of area businesses will be sponsoring the Back-To-School Night co-sponsored by Pepsi Bottling in Springfield.

Sponsored by Fisk's Farm & Home Stores in Cresco and Monona, the event will feature a 35-lap main event with a $600 top prize up for grabs and a unique twist will be in store for drivers and fans.

It was another hot and steamy Sunday at the Dodge County Speedway. It made track prep more difficult trying to keep moisture in the surface. One driver added to his win total and another ended a drought.

After a three-wide salute to the fans, the USRA RHS Modifieds lined up for 30 laps but the green would quickly turn red as the Jay Rosales slammed the outside wall with Chad Falco flipping off the top of turn 1.

Tracy Johnson outdueled Kenny Scholten and Dave Kennedy to win the USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mod main event Saturday night at the I-90 Speedway. Johnson finished the month of July with three feature wins and five top-5 finishes.

Cooler temps greeted the drivers and fans Saturday night at the Springfield Raceway with outstanding racing action all evening long. The USRA RHS Modifieds kept the fans on the edge of their seats during the entire 20-lap feature as the race went caution-free.

Menacing clouds may have hung in the west Texas sky, but the breeze was moving in favor of dirt track action on Friday night at the El Paso Speedway Park as the USRA RHS Modifieds headlined the night's racing.
