BAYTOWN, Texas -- For the second straight night, Randy Timms came out on top in the USRA Western Flyer HotMod main event as he won the 25-lapper Saturday night to close the curtain on the 3rd Annual Texas Spring Nationals.

Timms, from Wheatland, Okla., pocketed $900 for his victory, with John O Whittington, Charlie Morrow, Shane Hebert and Robert Metz Jr. rounding out the top 5 finishers.

Morrow pocketed the $100 Hard Charger Award by finishing third after starting 17th on the grid.

“Pure HotMod Award” recipients were Ray Allen Kulhanek ($200), Kamron Campbell ($150), Ray Doyon ($100), Thomas Downey ($75), Vince Louden ($50) and Eric Cegielski ($25) who were the top 6 non-USMTS racers in the feature.
