On Sunday, April 5, USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars and USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods will join the racing card at the Thunderhill Speedway in Mayetta, Kan., for the 7th Annual Kansas Spring Fling. Then on Saturday, April 11, USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars will take part in the event at the 24 Raceway in Moberly, Mo.

In preparing for the upcoming 2009 racing season, the Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., has announced the practice days and times for the different classes. Practice days will be on April 4, 11 and 18 (Saturdays) with the pit gates opening up at 11 a.m. each time.

Bob Timm will be in his 19th year of racing in 2009, but the USRA Modified competitor will be a rookie in the racetrack promotions business as he takes over the reigns of the former Tri-Oval Speedway. With the new role also comes a new configuration for the track, a new clay surface and a new name. The facility will now be known as Mississippi Thunder Speedway.
