The Iron Man Challenge roared into the Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis., Friday night with Justin Temeyer and Jake Timm topping the main events for their first wins of the season.

Ten races are in the books, and now the drivers seeking the 2011 Iron Man Challenge crowns head to familiar territory and new frontiers at the Cresco Speedway this Thursday, Aug. 4, and Mississippi Thunder Speedway on Friday, Aug. 5.

Bob Timm was in pure form taking the win in the USRA RHS Modified feature while Ben Anderson tallied another win in the USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods.

Shaun Walski topped a nail-biter in the USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mod feature over youngster Parker Hale. Lucas Schott hit his marks and not only won his first feature at the track in the USRA RHS Modified division, but he also made it a clean sweep.

In a $500-to-win show for the USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods, a field of 21 cars vied for the big check from Baehman Law, but before the green they would see a lot of yellow.

Drew Lawson turned his ninth place starting spot into his first USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mod feature win at Mississippi Thunder Speedway while Josh Angst took down the field in the caution-free USRA RHS Modified feature.

While rain forced cancellations at nearly all regional tracks Friday night, the Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City was spared the showers. Eighty-five cars checked into the pits to provide the action.

Mississippi Thunder Speedway officially concluded its 2010 racing season with its awards banquet held at the Riverport Inn in Winona, Minn., on Saturday. Not only were the top in each class honored, but also track champions as well as two national champions.
