With several major projects underway at the Huset’s Speedway, officials at the Brandon, S.D., speedplant have pushed the dates for test ‘n’ tune and the 2010 season opener back one week.

For all the race fans who embrace today's social media, there are two new ways to keep up to speed on what's happening at the Huset's Speedway. Huset's Speedway now has an official page on Facebook as well as an account on Twitter.

On Monday, Sept. 7, Huset's Speedway hosted the annual Midtown Sertoma Charity Race where four drivers posted wins and four season champions were crowned.

Terry McCarl may have won the battle Sunday night at Huset's Speedway, but it was Mark Dobmeier who won the war by putting the wraps on the 2009 USRA Outlaw Sprint Car track championship.

Mark Dobmeier, Jody Rosenboom, Gerod Olivier and Shaun Taylor each recorded back-to-back feature wins Sunday night at the Huset's Speedway in USRA Outlaw Sprint Cars, USRA Championship Sprints Cars, Next Generation Sprint Cars and USRA Hobby Stock action, respectively, while Nick Van Belle scored his first win of the season in USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mod competition.

Tommy Barber raced to a pair of checkered flags Sunday night by taking the win in both the Next Generation Sprint Car feature event as well as the USRA Hobby Stock feature.

There will be no better way for fans and drivers to start the month of August, than take in an exciting two-night showdown at Huset’s Speedway.

Mark Dobmeier scored his third USRA Outlaw Sprint Car win of the season Sunday night at Huset's Speedway. Terry McCarl, who earlier accepted the Baete-Forseth Back Row Challenge which carries a $5,000 bonus for winning from the back of the field, was second.

Scott Winters took the lead just past the halfway point and went on to win the USRA Outlaw Sprint Car feature event Sunday night at the Huset's Speedway in Brandon, S.D.

Early morning rains have left Huset's Speedway officials no option but to postpone tonight's event. The American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring Outlaw Sprint Cars, Championship Sprint Cars, Next Generation Sprint Cars, Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and Hobby Stocks will resume next Sunday, July 19.
