The Marrs and Johnson families have entered into an agreement for the transfer of ownership of the Lakeside Speedway to the Marrs family beginning in 2015.

The 2015 racing season will be the sixth for the Holley Iron Man Series, and the biggest and boldest schedule yet is in place for the popular series featuring USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods.

After 36 races and nearly 500 laps of green flag racing Friday night, 60 drivers in four divisions locked themselves into the main events for Saturday’s USRA National Championship finals.

What started Wednesday night continued into the morning and early afternoon Thursday, forcing Lakeside Speedway and USRA officials to cancel Thursday’s program at the inaugural USRA National Championships presented by McCarthy Auto Group.

Weather forecasters proclaimed throughout the day that the green flag would never be seen at the Lakeside Speedway Wednesday, but 15 qualifying heats and one of six “B” Mains were in the books when Mother Nature finally visited on opening night at the inaugural USRA National Championships presented by McCarthy Auto Group.

Mother Nature might try to spoil our party this week at the USRA National Championships and we want each and every driver to know what the plans are if we happen to lose one or two nights to rain.

The inaugural USRA National Championships presented by McCarthy Auto Group is set for this Wednesday through Saturday, Oct. 1-4, at the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.

With the kick-off of the inaugural USRA National Championships set for this Wednesday, Oct. 1, the list of those drivers eligible to compete in the Race of Champions stands at 300, including 98 USRA Modified, 46 USRA Stock Car, 123 USRA B-Mod and 33 USRA Hobby Stock drivers.
