The theme of new winners is what every racetrack wants and Friday night action at the Midway Speedway that theme was strong as three first-time winners were crowned.

Racing action will be back underway Friday night, July 24, as the Midway Speedway will be hosting a special on-track autograph session during intermission as the fans get a chance to get up close and personal with the drivers and their cars.

With perfect weather conditions, racing action was fast and furious Friday night at the Midway Speedway. Defending USRA Modified track champion Jamie Ragland returned back to his home track and took advantage of a front row starting spot in gathering his third feature win of the 2009 season.

The season-long chase for the 2009 championships at the Midway Speedway will swing back into full force Friday night, July 17, along with the second pit stop competition paying $100 to the winner.

Despite a two-hour slow steady afternoon rain, the Firecracker Special at the Midway Speedway provided plenty of tight racing action Friday night along with a beautiful fireworks show at intermission with 72 race teams checking into the pits.

The Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., will provide lots of family action on Friday night, July 3, as the Speedway will be hosting a regular racing event but also providing the Lebanon/Laclede County area with a fine fireworks show at intermission.

Defending USRA Modified track champion Jamie Ragland took advantage of his front row pole position in leading all 20 laps and capturing his second feature win of the season. Ragland had to withstand early challanges from Rustin Miller, then had a hard-charging Eric Hudson to overcome.

The battle for the 2009 championship will continue Friday night, June 5, at the Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., with action in the USRA Modifieds with Eric Hudson leading the points battle.
