Sports Park Raceway season fires up Friday

The gates will swing open at the Sports Park Raceway powered by Fort Dodge Ford this Friday, April 29, with the first of many blockbuster events that dot the 2022 calendar.

The event will be highlighted by the return of the United Plant Services USRA Modifieds, Marsh Concrete USRA Stock Cars, MechaniCo USRA B-Mods, Pickett Salvage USRA Hobby Stocks and Matt’s Tire Service USRA Tuners.

Defending track champions include Chase Ellingson (Modifieds), Myles Michehl (Stock Cars), Ty Griffith (B-Mods), Jeremy Crimmins (Hobby Stocks) and Jade Lange (Tuners).

All five divisions will compete for track, regional and national points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.

Gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 and racing to follow.
