With an enormous field of cars expected for the 8th annual Summit USRA Nationals presented by MyRacePass at Lucas Oil Speedway Oct. 6-10—the first time the event has been held in Wheatland—fans who wish to camp are encouraged to make their reservations now.

“Camping spots are going fast with a total number of cars like we’ve never seen before coming to Lucas Oil Speedway,” Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. “This is going to be an exciting week of racing and we want fans to get their camping spots reserved while they still can, for those who desire electric and water hookups.”

Lucas Oil Speedway and Lake Lucas boast 40 acres of rolling campgrounds. There are both wooded and open air spots, an onsite shower house, water and electric hookups, fishing ponds and hiking trails are all enclosed in the scenic campground.

There are 42 RV spots available with power and water and five spots with power-only, along with several acres of dry camping for both RV and tent camping.

There is a basketball court adjacent to the showerhouse/bathroom building. Firewood and ice can be purchased at the camp office.

Many dry camping spots do not have to be reserved and there are plenty of open and shaded areas on the grounds for dry camping.

Camping prices are:

• Reserved Site with Electric and Water (Limited Availability): $35 per night
• Reserved Dry Site (Limited Availability): $20 per night
• Unreserved Dry Site: $10 per night (first-come, first-served)

The Summit USRA Nationals presented by MyRacePass begins Wednesday, Oct. 6 with Test 'n' Tune at 6 p.m. Racing action Thursday through Saturday will feature USRA Modifieds, Medieval USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods and Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stocks all three nights. USRA Tuners join the card Friday and Saturday.

Suites available for USRA week: It's also not too early to think about taking in the USRA Nationals in one of Lucas Oil Speedway's VIP Suites, which are available either for the entire USRA Nationals or on a nightly basis.

Each of the 21 suites come with private outdoor box seating and inside fans will find leather furniture and tall barstool-style seating complete with refrigerator, kitchen sink, countertop and cabinets plus cable TV.
