The beautiful ¼ mile dirt oval of 82 Speedway is located about 15 minutes west of Paris, directly on Hwy 82 in Petty Texas (exactly 1 mile east of the Petty Texas exit on the south side of Hwy 82), 16369 US Hwy 82 Petty, TX 75470. Go to 82Speedway.com or @82Speedway on Facebook for track details.

If you’ve yet to visit 82 Speedway, it is much closer to DFW than a lot of people think and is NOT the old Paris Speedway southeast of Paris. As a point of reference, including a quick fuel stop, you can get from the intersection of Bass Pro Shops/I-30/Bush in Garland to 82 Speedway in 80 minutes.

82 Speedway features a 60’ racing surface that is .26 miles on the pole (1/4 mile) in distance, and the groove is right at 1/3 mile. There are no walls around the entire track – with lots of runoff space wherever you’re racing, which leads to less tore up equipment. Over-sized grandstands that each have unobstructed viewing from whatever spot you choose to view from. Huge spectator and pit parking areas will greet everyone on their arrival. Track owners, Shelley and Tracy Peters who are some of the nicest people you’ll ever come across, and they have been reinvesting in the permanent structure of the facility since they purchased it two years ago. Bottom line, if you haven’t been there, here’s your chance on Saturday, April 10th at 7pm.

Here’s more about the organization we will be raising awareness and financial resources for through this huge event: ECI (Early Childhood Intervention) of Lamar County is a non-profit organization that provides services such as speech and occupational/sensory therapy.

They strive to help children ages birth-to-3 years of age with autism, learning delays, and disabilities. After age 3, the organization then connects the family to appropriate resources.

ECI is also a home-based, parent-coaching program that teaches care-givers strategies to help their child reach their fullest potential.

And most importantly, they make it affordable for families to receive the best care. ECI has been trying to get the word out about their program and raise funds so they can help more kids.

And with April being Autism Awareness month, there couldn't be a better time to show support and help families.

For more information on ECI, visit the website at texas.gov or call our local ECI program at 903-454-0300.

Please join us for a massive night of racing – benefiting a great cause – all at 82 Speedway, located exactly 1 mile east of the Petty Texas exit on Hwy 82, on the south side of the road.
