Deer Creek Speedway rolls out Kids Club for 2009
SPRING VALLEY, Minn. - Deer Creek Speedway is excited to announce the forming of a kids club for those 12 and under visiting the speedway. To coincide with the kids 12 and under being admitted to the speedway for free on all regular point nights of racing, the kids club will bring a new level of excitement for the youth attending the races.
While many ongoing projects are in the works each kids club member will receive a membership card along with a bag of goodies for signing up. The initial signup for the kids club will be held Saturday, March 28, at the 3rd Annual Race Car Show being held at Clements Auto in Rochester. There will be a $5.00 registration cost for each individual signing up for the kids club. Signup will be available throughout the year at the speedway also.
During the racing season there will be special events and attractions for the youth including but not limited to kids color contest. Junior race fans which would carry the checker flag during the national anthem. Junior flag person and trophy presenters during kids club nights.
Some of the special activities will include behind the scene tours with staff and crew, EMS Vehicle tours, Race car and driver meet and autograph sessions. Just say no to drugs classes put on by DARE officials and many more fun things throughout the season.
Special weeks will be dedicated as kid club nights with a set activity for the night while other nights may just be a big surprise.
The kids club will operate mainly during the months of June, July and August with the activities starting around 4:30 and ending about an hour later so the junior fans can enjoy the racing action at the Deer Creek Speedway.
