Wrapping up the first of a two-night run at Longdale Speedway, USRA Modifieds took to the Western Oklahoma clay with Chatfield, Minnesota’s Lucas Shott taking top honors.

Caution on the first attempt of the feature, Oklahoma’s Derek Ramirez took off the with the lead both times. Nearly three deep with Lucas Schott and R.C. Whitwell on lap 2, Schott's No. 69 rolled the hub off the fourth turn on lap 4 to take the point.

Asked about the battle for the lead, Schott said, “R.C. and Derek are two of the fastest guys here, so to beat both of them my first time here is pretty cool. I just knew that within the first three or four laps ws going to be our best shot.”

Steadily pulling away through the remainder of the feature, the 15-time winner in 2020 dominated by 4.662 seonds in his inaugural visit to Longdale.

Ramirez held on for second with Whitwell closing fast on the final lap.

Jon Herring Jr. crossed fourth with Vince Lucas in fifth.

Racing action continues at the 3/8-mile oval on Saturday 24 with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region  and Limited Mods joining the USRA Modifieds.

Gates open at 2 p.m. with cars on track at 6.

Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for youth ages 11-14 and free for kids 10 and under. Pit passes are $35.
