Four fast and furious nights ahead for Iron Man Challenge

Four big nights of racing leading up to Labor Day are on tap for the Iron Man Challenge featuring Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods.

With the end of summer in sight, so too are the points battles that will determine the 2017 Iron Man Challenge champions in both divisions.

Steve Jackson of Polk City, Iowa. continues to lead the chase for the Holley USRA Stock Car title, but Derek Green of Granada, Minn., is nipping at his heels heading into this week’s fast and furious foursome.

In the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, Cole Denner of New Hampton, Iowa, clings to a 75-point lead over Decorah, Iowa’s Dan Hovden who has four Iron Man victories this season.

The action this week kicks off at the Fairmont Raceway in Fairmont, Minn., on Thursday, Aug. 31. From there the series moves to the Fayette County Speedway in West Union, Iowa, on Friday, Sept. 1. Saturday, Sept. 2, will find the drivers taking on the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., and the swing wraps up at the Cresco Speedway in Cresco, Iowa, on Sunday, Sept. 3.

The Iron Man Challenge will join the high-powered USMTS Modifieds at all four events. Holley USRA Stock Cars will be grappling for a minimum of $600 to win each night and the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature winner gets at least $500 each night.

In addition to Iron Man Challenge points, drivers will also be battling for precious Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points all four nights.
