Thanks to a mid-afternoon visit from Mother Nature, plans have been shuffled for this week’s inaugural Boone River Bayou races at the Hamilton County Speedway.

With rain yesterday and today, Tuesday’s program has been postponed.

Wednesday will now be an all-new four-division show featuring USRA Hobby Stock ($500 to win), Out-Pace USRA B-Mods ($1,000 to win), Holley USRA Stock Cars ($1,000 to win) and USMTS Modifieds ($3,000 to win) as part of the USMTS Hunt for the Casey's Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental.

The two-day Boone River Bayou will move to Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27-28, back at the historic Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa.

For tomorrow’s event, all times remain the same as before with gates opening at 5 p.m. and racing at 7:30.

The Hamilton County Speedway is the oldest speedway in the state of Iowa, opening in July 1910. In 1938, work began on the current location at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. The semi-banked 1/2-mile dirt track was completed in the spring of 1939, and the first races were held on the track in September of that year. The track is located off of US 20 at exit 140, then 1.2 miles north, then 0.5 mile east on Bank St., then 0.4 mile south on Bluff St.
