2450-lb. Modifieds added to Friday line-up at American Racer Fall Festival

BRITT, Iowa -- By popular demand, officials at the Hancock County Speedway in Britt, Iowa, have added 2450-lb. Modifieds to the Friday night slate at this weekend's inaugural American Racer Fall Festival.

"Ever since we announced this class for Saturday's show, the phone has been ringing off the hook," said event promoter Todd Staley. "Some drivers had races closer to home on Saturday, but they really wanted to come to Britt this weekend. This is for the drivers -- to give them a place to race on Friday, and to make it easier for them to travel with a two-day show now."

There is no entry fee for this class on either day.

Friday's 2450-lb. Modifieds will be racing for $500 to win and $50 to start the main event. This class will run heats, B-main(s) and an A-main. The top four drivers from Friday's main event will automatically be locked in to Saturday's $1,000-to-win main event. These four drivers, along with the top four qualifiers on Saturday, will redraw for the first eight starting spots in Saturday's main event.

On Saturday, the 2450-lb. Modifieds will be racing for $1,000 to win and $100 to start.

Rules for this class will be American Racer G60 tires, no spoilers, no roller cams, no aluminum heads and a minimum weight rule of 2,450 pounds. This class will run heats, B-main(s) and an A-main each night.
