West Hancock County Ambulance Night on tap at Britt

BRITT, Iowa -- Heavy rains last weekend forced officials at the Pritchard Family Auto Stores Hancock County Speedway to cancel the racing action for KIOW 107.3 Night. With an extra week off catch their breath, drivers will be pumped and ready to go for the action this Friday, May 20, at the Britt, Iowa, speedplant.

The USRA Casey's General Stores Championship Series -- featuring USRA Modifieds, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks and B-Modifieds, along with the exciting Hornets class -- are on tap as the Pritchard Family Auto Stores Hancock County Speedway presents West Hancock County Ambulance Night. Gates open at 5 p.m., with hot laps at 7 and racing to follow.

Brad Bakken leads the USRA Modified points standings, with Jeremy Mills, Mike Hejna, Ryan Ruter and Jeff Feaster in hot pursuit. On the strength of his opening night victory, Jake Simpson leads the USRA B-Mod title chase with Travis Lain, Toby Boothroyd, George Gilliland and Jamie Anderson, completing the top-5 in the standings. In the USRA Stock Cars, Cory Oftedahl holds a slim six-point lead over Kevin Hoeft, while Jeff Dolphin, Craig Berhow and John Campbell remain within striking distance. Calrin Lange and John Madson each have one victory in the USRA Hobby Stock division, and the two remain tied at the top of the rankings. Randy Hadacek, Chad Lundy and Chad Gentz sit in the third through fifth spots. Greg Birkhofer leads the entry-level Hornets class with Robert Black, Matt Baker, Travis Nelson and Charles Gardner chasing him for the crown.

The Pritchard Family Auto Stores Hancock County Speedway continues to offer one of the most lucrative weekly payouts in the state of Iowa. Each week, the Modified feature winner takes home $700, while main event winners in the Stock Car, B-Mod and Hobby Stock classes earn $400, $250 and $200, respectively.

End-of-season points champions in each class will earn $1,000 (Modified), $700 (Stock Car and B-Mod) and $500 (Hobby Stock). In addition, USRA-licensed drivers compete against drivers from other USRA-sanctioned tracks for a share of the USRA Casey's General Stores Championship Series national points fund.
