Falck reigns supreme in USRA Stock Cars at Deer Creek Speedway
SPRING VALLEY, Minn.— The Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA Stock Cars invaded the Deer Creek Speedway on Saturday night as they spilt the show with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in an action packed night.
A total of 24 drivers checked in, resulting in a full field for the 20-lap feature event.
Kyle Falck and Brandon Hare started on the front row for the main event showdown. Once the green flag was dropped, Falck quickly took over the top spot.
Bryan Webb, who started fourth, made his way into the second position and was trailing Falck for the first half the race.
Dillon Anderson was also in the mix until a left front tire went down on Anderson’s car just eight laps into the feature. Anderson then gave is third position spot over to a hard-charging Kevin Donlan.
Only one caution flag waved during the feature event and it came at the midway point on lap 10.
On the “Delaware double-file restart,” Donlan took over the second position from Webb. However, Donlan was unable to run Falck down for the remainder of the race.
Falck lead every lap of the event en route to his third Iron Man Challenge win of the year. He was followed by Donlan, Mitch Hovden, Webb and, current Iron Man points leader Tom Schmitt.
The next Iron Man Challenge for the USRA Stock Cars will be on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Upper Iowa Speedway in Decorah, Iowa. Joining the Stock Cars that night will also be the USRA B-Mods in the Iron Man Challenge. The USRA Hobby Stocks will also be in attendance in a thrill seeking night in the valley.
