WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Weekly championship points racing returns on Saturday, May 31, to Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) featuring USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, B-Modifieds, Pure Stocks and guest class Midwest Lightning Sprints for Better Country KIX 105.7 Radio Race Night.

The Midwest Lightning Sprints sponsored by Liquid and Powdercoat Finishes of Kansas City make their first appearance at CMS in 2014. Tony Layne, the 2013 points champion and Bobby Layne, the 2011 and 2012 points champion, who was recently inducted into the C.A.R.B. Hall of Fame, are a few of the drivers expected to make an appearance this weekend. Bobby Layne and Mark Billings were the most recent MLS feature winners during the organization’s recent events.

Start times for the weekend in clued pit gates opening at 4:30 p.m., grandstands at 5, drivers meeting 6:30, hot laps at 7, and racing at 7:30. General admission for adults is $12, Military w/I.D. and Seniors 65+ $10, kids ages six to twelve $5, five years and under free!
