Deer Creek welcomes Nextel Cup driver Kenny Schrader
SPRING VALLEY, Minn. -- Deer Creek Speedway is excited to announce that NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver Kenny Schrader will be behind the wheel of the Federated Auto Parts #99 dirt late model on August 10th during the first ever visit by the Polydome World Dirt Race League. Schrader committed to come to Deer Creek thanks to Featherlite Trailers. Featherlite has been a large supporter of the speedway and yet again proves their dedication to the sport by providing the fans in Southern Minnesota a chance to meet one of the best.
The WORLD Dirt Race League event will be presented by Midwest Wireless and will be the third stop in a four-day swing through Wisconsin and Minnesota. The event will pay $5,000 to win and some local race fans have started a $1,000 Deer Creek-20/20 Race Fans Hard Charger Award to run in conjunction with the Kosiski Hammer Down Hard Charger Award for the nights racing action to be presented to the driver who advances the most positions in the feature event.
Also on the card for the racing action on August 10th will be the USRA Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win. This race will attract some of the premier modified drivers from Northern Iowa, Southern Minnesota, and Western Wisconsin.
This event will be a must see for all race fans with Kenny Schrader, the WDRL and the USRA Modifieds all on one card. Don’t forget that this event is also part of the Kids FREE month of August, all kids 12 and under will receive free grandstand admittance!
