Hat trick for “Hollywood” at 81 Speedway

PARK CITY, Kan. (Sept. 27, 2025)—This past weekend at the 81 Speedway was bittersweet as the season points racing crossed the finish line for 2025. On a night with the Alternative Pest Management USRA Modifieds were the headline they lived up to the calling card. Logan’s Lawn & Landscape stepped up and added $1,000 to the pole-sitter if they would drop to the 6th spot and still win.
"Hollywood" Tyler Davis, by accumulating the most points in the heat race,s had the opportunity and took the challenge. Dan Powers was not going to make it easy as he set a blistering pace on the high line, keeping Paden Phillips and Davis at bay for most of the race.
A late yellow shuffled the deck a bit and Davis pounced at his chance, sliding past Paden in turn 1, Powers looked poised and was not rattled by the early runs Davis made. With just two to go, Davis made his move, sliding Powers in turns 3-4 while Powers crossed him and repaid the slider favor in 1-2.
The race was great one as the two went down the back-stretch on the last lap with Powers leading, but Davis backed up his entry and throttled to the bottom and slid the leader with little room for error to take a last-lap victory and the extra $1,000.
Great job to all the drivers this season. Davis also capped off his Wichita Tire & Alignment $5,000 points championship for the season to go along with his victory and Logan’s Lawn & Landscape challenge money.
We appreciate all of the sponsors , support, help, fans, drivers and crews for everything.
