Johnson, Bailey, Dunwoodie claim victories at I-35 Speedway’s Be Aware Cancer Rally

WINSTON, Mo. (Sept. 27, 2025)—On Saturday night, the Be Aware Cancer Rally presented by Larry McFee Trucking ignited I-35 Speedway as part of the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series, featuring intense battles in the USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, and USRA B-Mods divisions.
Houston Johnson, Shayne Bailey, and Adam Dunwoodie led their respective A Features, delivering standout performances at the Missouri track.
In the USRA Modifieds A Feature, Houston Johnson of Kansas City led from the pole to secure the victory. Steven Glenn of Hamilton finished second, followed by Brad Johnson of Cameron in third. Richard Layne of Kansas City took fourth, with Tyler Grooms of Trenton in fifth.
The USRA Stock Cars A Feature saw Shayne Bailey of Kearney hold off a strong field to claim the win. Austin Kaplan of Collins, Iowa, finished second, followed by Chris Mercer of Excelsior Springs in third. Jake Hoover of Stewartsville took fourth, with Billie Hoover of Stewartsville in fifth.
Matthew Lance of Savannah finished sixth, followed by Dave Petty Jr. of St. Joseph in seventh. Nathan Asher of St. Joseph claimed eighth, with Scott Carlson of Plattsmouth, Neb., in ninth and Madi Waterbury of Jamesport rounding out the top 10.
In the USRA B-Mods A Feature, Adam Dunwoodie of Polo charged from the 10th starting position to take the victory. Daniel Harris of Excelsior Springs finished second, followed by Randy Smith Jr. of Polo in third. Chase Moulton of Altamont took fourth, with Chester Kaufman of Jamesport in fifth.
Peyton Baker of Gallatin finished sixth, followed by Clayton Stutesmun of Cameron in seventh. Doug Heimbaugh of St. Joseph claimed eighth, with Dalton Strohl of Weatherby in ninth and Michael Taylor III of Kansas City completing the top 10.
The event’s heat races set the stage for a competitive night, with drivers showcasing skill and determination to earn their spots in the main events, capping a thrilling evening at I-35 Speedway.
