FAIRMONT, Minn. (July 11, 2025)—Ty Griffith, Gavin Bussinger and Slade Fitzgerald claimed feature wins Friday night at Fairmont Raceway, in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series "Stock the Classroom Night" event.

One lucky teacher took home $500 for classroom expenses. The USRA Modified and USRA Stock Car features were rained out and will be rescheduled for a date yet to be announced.

In the USRA B-Mods, Griffith of Blairsburg, Iowa, secured the victory. Klay Beemer of Fairmont finished second, followed by Jayden Oskerson of Fairmont in third. Jeff Carter of Mapleton placed fourth, and Jacob Korte of Fairmont rounded out the top five.

Bussinger of Granada was the winner of the USRA Hobby Stock feature. Jeremy Wegner of Greattinger, Iowa, finished second, with Joshua Monson of Clear Lake, Iowa, taking third. Chris Krug of Emmetsburg, Iowa, came in fourth, and Jonathon Hynes of Winnebago rounded out the top five.

In the USRA Tuners, Slade Fitzgerald of Sherburn claimed the win. Dale Gatton of Fairmont finished second, with Jerry Coopman of Mankato in third.

Fairmont Raceway will host its 11th Annual Summer Spectacular presented by Bettin Trucking on Thursday, July 17, featuring the USMTS Modifieds, along with USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Tuners.
