Leathem, Moseley shine in American Thunder Dirt Classic opener


GRANTS, N.M. (July 4, 2025)—Opening night of the American Thunder Dirt Classic electrified Legacy Speedway on Friday, kicking off the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series with intense battles in the USRA Stock Car and USRA B-Mod classes.

In the USRA Stock Car Feature, Ronnie Leathem Jr. of Albuquerque claimed the victory, followed by Devon Jobin of Alamogordo in second. Craig Walker of Roswell took third, with Darell Cordary of Hesperus, Colo., finishing fourth. Ken Curts of Rio Rancho rounded out the top five.

The USRA B-Mod Feature saw Rob Moseley of Los Lunas take the checkered flag. Chris Morlang of Grants secured second, followed by Jonathon Ortega of Las Cruces in third.Cory Polen of Grants finished fourth, and Kimry Ward of Grants completed the top five.
