Shelby Williams won the USRA Stock Car main event.

PETTY, Texas (June 20, 2025)—Friday night’s Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series at Rocket Raceway Park delivered thrilling competition, with Shelby Williams, Mason Day, and Ty Abernathy claiming victories in their respective classes.

In the USRA Stock Car feature, Shelby Williams of Bonham started on the pole and drove to the win. Anthony Boatman of Whitehouse finished second, followed by Kevin Sustaire of Emory in third. Haydan Hartwick of Tumbling Shoals, Ark., took fourth, and Boone Evans of Bullard rounded out the top five.

The USRA Limited Mod feature saw Mason Day of Farmersville charge from third to secure the victory. Gregory Muirhead of Mabank took second, with Colby Williams of Sibley, La., in third. Cory Whitworth of Durant, Okla., finished fourth, and Coty Tupper of Blanchard, La., completed the top five.

In the Sunoco USRA Factory Stock feature, Ty Abernathy of Mt. Ida, Ark., surged from third to claim the win. Jeffrey Hill of Sherman finished second, followed by James Proctor of Paris in third. Brandon Bettis of Detroittook fourth, and Deaon Redmon of Paris rounded out the top five.

The event featured intense heat races and a packed field, drawing a lively crowd to cheer on the competitors under the Texas night sky.
