Garcia, Moseley claim Father’s Day Classic victories


GRANTS, N.M. (June 20, 2025)—Friday night’s Father’s Day Classic, presented by State Farm Insurance Agent Tom Fitzsimmons and Burress Barbershop, at Legacy Speedway brought thrilling action in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series, with Carlos Garcia and Rob Moseley taking wins in their respective classes.

In the USRA Stock Car feature, Garcia of Española started on the pole and held on for the victory. Devon Jobin of Alamogordo finished second, followed by Herman Garcia of Española in third. Ken Curts of Rio Rancho took fourth, and Jose Morales of Rio Rancho rounded out the top five.

The USRA B-Mod feature saw Rob Moseley of Los Lunas lead from the start to secure the win. Christopher Ward of Bluewater came in second, with Chris Morlang of Grants in third. Kimry Ward of Grants finished fourth, and Colton Polen of Grants completed the top five.

The event celebrated Father’s Day with a competitive field and enthusiastic crowd cheering under the New Mexico stars.
