Jacob Bleess won the USRA Modified main event.

MASON CITY, Iowa (June 8, 2025)—Sunday night’s show at the  Pritchard Family Auto Stores Mason City Motor Speedway delivered thrilling action across four divisions, incuding the USRA Kevko Northern Lights Modified Series presented by Real Racing Wheels paired with the USRA KS Engineering Iron Man Stock Car Series driven by Terminator Chassis.

Along with the USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks, the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series event showcased intense competition, with top drivers battling for supremacy on the 1/3-mile high-banked oval.

In the USRA Modified feature, Jacob Bleess of Chatfield, Minn., charged from the second starting position to claim victory. Fresh off a USMTS win one night earlier in Louisiana, Rodney Sanders of Happy, Texas, followed in second, with series points leader Brandon Davis of Hayfield, Minn., securing third.

Joe Chisholm of Osage, who won the series opener at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway, finished fourth, and Shadren Turner of St. Joseph, Mo., rounded out the top five. The win as worth $2,000 for Bleess.

This was the third race of the season for the new Northern Lights Modified Series and produced a third different winner. The USRA Stock Car feature saw Justin Luinenburg of Reading, Minn., win from the fifth starting spot. This was the 13th race of the season for the beborn Iron Man Stock Cars and produced a 13th different winner.

Brandon Hare of Elma finished a strong second, followed by Derek Green of Granada, Minn., in third. Chanse Hollatz of Clear Lake, who won on Friday and the Rapid Speedway, claimed fourth, and former national champ Dylan Clinton of West Union surged from 18th to complete the top five.

Green leads Rodney Schweizer of Kansas City, Kan., in the standings by just 16 points (889 to 873), while Ankeny's Pat Graham is close behind in third with 862 markers. Hare holds steady in fourth (841) and Jaylen Wettengel of Topeka, Kan.,  is fifth with 818 points

The next event for the Iron Man Series takes place July 11-12 as the USRA Stock Cars visit the US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Mo., on Friday, and then head a few short miles down the highway on Saturday to the I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo.

In Sunday's USRA B-Mod feature, George Nordman of Mason City led from the second position to earn the victory. Jake Richards of Lansing, Kan., finished second, with Ben Moudry of Protivin taking third. Tianna Mithun of New Richland, Minn., placed fourth, and Kaeden Bronner of Austin, Minn., finished fifth.

The USRA Hobby Stock feature was won by Kolby Goepel of Britt, who started seventh and powered to the front. Zac Smith of Manly took second, followed by Scott Dobel of Manly in third. Joshua Monson of Clear Lake finished fourth, and Parker Anderson of Welcome, Minn., rounded out the top five.

The next event at the Mason City Motor Speedway goes green on Sunday, June 15, highlighted by the Malvern Bank SLMR Super Late Model Series. Also on tap will be USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and Outlaw Mini-Mods.
