KANSAS CITY, Kan. (June 6, 2025)—Friday night’s Bob Reber Memorial at Lakeside Speedway honored a racing icon with thrilling Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series action, highlighted by double features in USRA B-Mods. A packed crowd witnessed intense battles as drivers paid tribute to Reber’s legacy on the high-banked oval.

In the USRA Stock Car feature, Chris Dishong of Atchison led from the front to claim the victory, holding off Tim Shields of Kansas City, Mo., who finished second. Kevin Anderson of Kansas City, Mo., took third, followed by Dylan Holt of Topeka in fourth and Gerald Wahwahsuck of Atchison in fifth. Dishong dedicated his win to Bob Reber, noting the event’s significance to the local racing community.

The USRA B-Mod make-up feature from May 23 saw Tim Karrick of Basehor dominate for the win. Jon Sheets of Nevada, Mo., finished second, with Stephen Clancy of Odessa, Mo., in third. Kerry Davis of Parkville, Mo., and Nic Bidinger of Perry rounded out the top five. Karrick’s victory set the tone for the night, honoring Reber’s contributions to the sport.

In the regular USRA B-Mod feature, Jon Sheets of Nevada, Mo., surged to the checkered flag, edging out Chad Clancy of Polo, Mo., in second. Aaron Marrant of Richmond, Mo., took third, followed by Terry Schultz of Sedalia, Mo., in fourth and Nic Bidinger of Perry in fifth. Sheets praised the track’s fast surface, which allowed for side-by-side racing that thrilled the fans and paid fitting tribute to Reber.

Lakeside Speedway returns to action Friday, June 13, with the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods.
