CHATHAM, La. (June 6, 2025)—Friday night’s Firecracker opening night at Super Bee Speedway ignited the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series with explosive racing action, thrilling a packed crowd under the Louisiana stars. The event set the stage for a weekend of high-octane competition, with local drivers dominating the feature races.

In the USRA Limited Mod feature, Mark Underwood Jr. of Ruston surged to victory, holding off Jarred Wallace of Farmerville in second. Derrick Lofton of Pollock charged to third, followed by Richie Patton of Quitman in fourth and Chad Rollins of Pitkin in fifth.

The Sunoco USRA Factory Stock feature saw Jamie Shirley of West Monroe take the checkered flag after a fierce battle, edging out Brian Laird of Glenmora in second. Taten Perkins of Oakdale finished third, with Wayne Patton of Ruston in fourth and Matthew Driskill of Ruston in fifth.

In the USRA Tuner feature, Billy Smith of Rocky Branch claimed the victory, fending off Braxton Beckham of Quitman in second. Dee Harris of Choudrant took third, followed by Aiden Taylor of Downsville in fourth and Kris Kersten of Texarkana, Ark., in fifth.

The event brought out the best in Super Bee Speedway’s racing community, with fans enjoying a lively evening of racing and patriotic spirit. The close-knit battles and local talent showcased the track’s reputation for thrilling action.

Super Bee Speedway continues the excitement with the second night of the Firecracker on Saturday featuring the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.
