KANSAS CITY, Kan. (May 30, 2025)—Lakeside Speedway roared to life Friday night, hosting the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series with thrilling USRA Stock Cars and B-Mods action. A makeup feature from May 23 added extra excitement, as drivers battled fiercely on the Kansas City oval.

In the USRA Stock Car Feature, Chris Dishong of Atchison held the pole position to secure the victory, mirroring his win in the May 23 makeup feature earlier in the evening.

Tim Shields of Kansas City, Mo., took second after starting alongside, while Rodney Schweizer of Kansas City claimed third from fourth. Jason Newman of Kearney, Mo., charged from ninth to fourth, and Gene Claxton of Kansas City, Mo., rounded out the top five in a competitive 18-car lineup.

The USRA B-Mod Feature saw Tim Karrick of Basehor surge from second to claim the checkered flag. Jon Sheets of Nevada, Mo., finished a strong second from the pole, followed by Michael Taylor III of Kansas City, Mo., in third. Kerry Davis of Parkville, Mo., took fourth, and John Baker of Basehor completed the top five.

Lakeside Speedway continues the action with the Bob Reber Memorial next Friday, June 6, featuring USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, Pure Stocks and E-Mods, with racing starting at 7:30 p.m. For more details, visit www.lakesidespeedway.net.
