Shipman, Doughty checker Pink Out Night at Chateau Speedway

Travis Shipman won the USRA Hobby Stock main event.
LANSING, Minn. (May 30, 2025)—Chateau Speedway roared to life Friday night for the Paint the Town Pink Night presented by Kevko Racing Oil Pans & Components, delivering thrilling action in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.
Travis Shipman of Mason City, Iowa, and Dustin Doughty of Hudson, Wis., topped the fields, claiming victories in the USRA Stock Car and USRA Hobby Stock features, respectively, before a lively crowd in Lansing.
In the USRA Stock Car Feature, Shipman started second and held firm to secure the win. Jackson Vsetecka of Fort Atkinson, Iowa, charged from sixth to take second, while Lynn Panos of Calmar, Iowa, battled from 10th to claim third. P.J. Duchene of Faribault finished fourth, followed by Andrew Eischens of Taopi in fifth.
The USRA Hobby Stock Feature saw Doughty surge from sixth to capture the checkered flag. Terry Quam of Cresco, Iowa, started second and held on for a strong runner-up finish. Jack Paulson of Morristown took third after starting fourth, while Steve Dwyer of La Crosse, Wis., rocketed from 12th to fourth. Jason Newkirk of Austin rounded out the top five in a 20-car battle.
