Charles in return visit to Valley Speedway Victory Lane

GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (May 24, 2025)—Valley Speedway hosted a spirited Saturday night of racing during the Memorial Day Weekend Military Appreciation Night, part of the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series. The event honored military service members while featuring intense competition in the USRA B-Mod division on the 1/3-mile dirt oval.
In the Feature, Austin Charles of Basehor, Kan., claimed his second straight victory after starting third, navigating a competitive field to take the checkered flag. Chris Spalding of Montgomery City finished second after a strong charge from 11th.
Cody Brill of Bates City took third, followed by Ron Hartford of Raytown in fourth. Travis Alexander of Tonganoxie, Kan., rounded out the top five, climbing from 13th to secure a top finish.
Valley Speedway’s next event is Saturday, May 31, with a focus on the Grain Valley Feed the Kids Lunch Program, where Grain Valley residents and kids can enter free with a donation to the lunch program, which raised $500 last year. For more information, visit www.valleyspeedway.com.
